learning is a necessary . . . a wonderful message from Lynn

I think learning is a necessary way to know something we don't understand. When i was a kid, i didn't understand why the leaves are green and why people will get old. From learning in school I know it's because of Chlorophyll and Oxidation. It is why I think learning is important.

Messages and stories of learning in Footscray are collected and then written onto the insides of one hundred handmade blue cups. The cups are placed in Footscray during BluScray events to be found by people and taken home. The project gives voice to peoples experiences and understandings of learning and shares these ideas with others in the city of Footscray.

A wonderful evening was had by all 60 people who turned up for the artist walk led by Chantal Wynter which began at the Footscray Community Art Centre.

But first of all, about and hour beforehand, I went placing cups in the hope that people on the artist's walk would find them on their way.

Oh dear,

now I know why Sayrathim Lothian likes her guerrilla kindness projects,
it was a wonderful feeling photographing the little treasures and then leaving them for others to find.

Artists often give their art up to the world, in the hope that it will survive, but for this project it was a great feeling to send them on their final journey into the outside world.

Here is our first message to the world which I thought apt to place in a little booth of messages.
