writing the cups

Here are four new cups from a variety of people.
The first one is from Maxienne who said:
' I learnt this morning at VU that 'ducks sit on still waters while their feet go furiously to keep them afloat' such is life. '

Here are the gorgeous characters on your cup Maxienne!
The Koala is the one saying such is life.

And then I got this wonderful email from Dorothy and her students

Hi Debbie
Here are 3 messages from M.Ed students. They are the creative work of dialogue in small groups through which students blended their individual messages.

Teaching and learning is the cloud-seeding to create intelligences and out of the box thinking. Jess, Kriti and Neha.

Education gives us the freedom of expression as every answer is right in its own way and is not a preparation for life, it is life itself. Gaurika, Raman, Angela and Shenel.

Education is an everlasting open journey to break the chains of colonial oppression. Crystal, Mankirat and Sonia.

It was a terrific process, reflecting on themes and questions of the past few weeks and elicited some lively discussion!

Cheers
Dorothy

Message in a Cup
Messages and stories of learning in Footscray are collected and then written onto the insides of one hundred handmade blue cups. The cups are placed in Footscray during BluScray events to be found by people and taken home. The project gives voice to peoples experiences and understandings of learning and shares these ideas with others in the city of Footscray.

Message in a Cup is part of BluScray,  a program of blue-themed arts and cultural events held throughout 2016 to celebrate Victoria University’s Centenary in collaboration with Maribyrnong City Council for the Footscray University Town initiative.
